Information Technology is the fastest-growing and most pervasive industry today and technologies for interaction, processing and communication are seeing almost unheard-before level of innovation. The Information Technology Department started its journey in 2008 with a student intake of 60. In 2022, our undergraduate programmes are flourishing with a 90 rise in enrollment. The department now offers two UG programmes: Information Technology and CSE (Data Science) course.

The Department of Information Technology & CSE (Data Science) is dedicated to excellence in research, teaching and the provision of the appropriate echo system for fostering students’ developing professional abilities. Modern laboratories and improved learning facilities are available in the department enabling students to participate in ongoing research and learning. The students receive training in industry-relevant skills that enable them to land jobs at prestigious organisations and continue to flourish throughout their professional careers.

The Department seeks to impart moral responsibility as well as technical skills that are applicable to industry to its students. It aims to produce future knowledge society leaders who can raise the standard of living in the nation. The Department gives students the ability to develop their soft skills and managerial abilities through a variety of activities, enabling them to become well-rounded professionals and well-groomed individuals.

Our department has regularly produced strong academic performance. When it comes to placement, the department has excelled, with students finding jobs in reputable multinational corporations like TCS, Persistent, Accenture, Cognizant, HCL, Hexaware, Shaligram Infotech, Focus Edumatics and many others.

The Department of Information Technology and CSE (Data Science) prepares students for the challenges presented by constantly developing technical breakthroughs by promoting a sense of accomplishment in them. The department strives to mould its students into not only tech-savvy people but also moral human beings who will serve as role models for younger generations.
