Official Declaration

Institutional Preamble

"The Student Code of Conduct document is prepared to ensure that the students admitted to college for various Diploma, UG, PG, PhD programs adhere to the rules and regulations pertaining to scholastic, co-scholastic activities and other administrative aspects of the college. All the students must know rights & responsibilities including the restrictions flowing from it. This Handbook is our endeavour to imbibe the sense of responsibility and discipline amongst the students so that the students develop conscientiousness towards their conduct and prove to be responsible individuals showing empathy, respect and concern for all beings."

Section 1.1

Sexual Harassment Policy

    From time to time, the college sensitizes students regarding the prevention of sexual harassment adhering to Vishakha Guidelines.

    “Sexual Harassment” includes physical contact or advances, demand/request for sexual favours, sexually coloured remarks, showing pornography, or any other unwelcome physical, verbal, or non-verbal conduct.

  • 3

    This conduct must be strictly avoided during interactions with peers, teachers and others on campus and during commute.

  • 4

    Incidents can be reported directly to the Internal Complaint Committee.

Part B: Repercussions

Violation or breach of conduct will result in suitable disciplinary action based on the gravity of the offence and extent of damage.

Level 1

Warning

The delinquent student may be given a warning on submitting a written apology. Further acts result in severe action.

Level 2

Restrictions

Restricting access to various facilities on the campus.

Level 3

Suspension

Temporary suspension from the academic activities.

Level 4

Debarment

Debar from the end semester examination.

Level 5

Expulsion

Expulsion of the student from the institute permanently.

Level 6

Readmission Ban

Ineligibility to reapply for readmission to the institute.

Level 7

Withholding Documents

Withholding the grade card or the certificate of Course Completion.

Part C: Appeal Process

If a delinquent student is aggrieved by penalties, they may appeal chronologically through the following authorities.

Step 05Principal
Note: The Principal may accept committee recommendations, modify punishments based on gravity, or refer cases back for reconsideration. The Principal's decision is final and binding in all cases of possible misconduct.
